Men Set For Atlantic Regional Tournament

OVERVIEW: The Vulcans enter Regionals on arguable the biggest high they can at this point in the season. This past Sunday they secured their 13th CHE title on an overtime winning goal by Chris Siak. They’ll begin their quest of returning to the ACHA National Tournament by facing Rowan University for the third time this season.
The Vulcans and Owls have met twice this season splitting the season series. The first meeting in New Jersey was a 6-5 overtime victory for the Owls while the second at the UPJ Tournament the Vulcans won in commanding fashion 7-4. In those meetings the Vulcans received contribution from across the scoresheet. In the first contest they were led by Perry Shirring and Anthony Manuel with two goals and one assist each. In net John Popielarcheck stopped 52 of 58 shots faced. For January’s victory Chris Siak led the way with one goal and two assists while Evan Cook stopped 41 of 45 shots faced. Between both games for the Owls it was Peter Andolino who led the way with three goals in the first meeting and one goal and one assist in the second.
