Vulcans finish 8th in ACHA Division II

March 15, 2016

California, PA- With what was a very successful season, the Vulcans ended on a sour note as they failed to win a game at this year National Tournament finishing in 8th place in all of Division II.

The Vulcans managed to finish the season 12-13-3 but what the record doesn’t show is what this group of ladies has done over their collective careers.  As this group of Vulcans exit they will leave as record setters and program builders.  Saying goodbye from this group will be the Vulcans top two all-time leading scorers and a goaltender that owns every record possible.

Three of the Vulcans top four all-time leading scorers that will hang up their skates are Kelsey DeNardo, Dana Bowersox and Megan Cooper along with net minder Maria Sciacca.  To go along with that group will also be Haley D’Hondt and Margo Laboon.  Looking towards the 2016-17 season the Vulcans will have large shows to fill but with that comes new opportunity for a new group to leave their mark on what this group has built.
