Vulcans turns eyes to next season and how to climb back to the top of the Open Tier Division

California, PA- The Vulcans 2016-17 campaign came to a finish over the weekend with an 11-1 loss at the hands of rival Pitt-Greensburg.  Before the contest the Vulcans sent off three seniors, Dakota Apperson, Shane Neugebauer and Justin Bartus (graduated in December).

The contest remained close through the early stages as Jake Colarossi found the back of the net on a break away short handed goal with just seconds remaining in the period.  Unfortunately as the game turned to the second period the Bobcats scored nine unanswered on their way to an 11-1 victory.

In this his first season as the Cal 2 Head Coach, Greg Hulbert’s squad found themselves finishing 2016-17 with a 4-12 record.  With many young players they will turn their attention to the offseason with hopes to build towards a stronger 2017-18.
