THE GAME:  California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans (0-0, 0-0) vs. St. Vincent College Polar Bearcats (0-0, 0-0)

DATE/LOCATION/TIME:  October 7, 2017 ~ Rostraver Ice Garden ~ 6:45 p.m.

YEAR TWO:  Last season the Vulcans skated their way to a 4-12 record with a rather inexperienced group.  In year two under Head Coach Greg Hulbert the Vulcans look to build towards a playoff birth.  The Vulcans managed to play hard each and every game under Coach Hulbert and plan to turn those one and two goal losses into victories this season.

VULCANS AND POLAR BEARCATS:  Last season the Polar Bearcats defeated the Vulcans in both meetings.  The first came at 5-2 while the second was much closer at 5-4 in overtime.  In those games the Vulcans were led by Tommy Intrieri and Chris Schmitt with one goal each. In net Derek Heuges stopped 37 of 42 shots in the first game and Josh Bacon who stopped 32 of 37 shots in the overtime loss.

VULCANS LEADING SCORERES:  The Vulcans returning leading scorers are Tommy Intrieri with six goals and five assists for 11 points, Chris Schmitt with five goals and four assists for nine points and Adam Brown with three goals and two assists for five points.  The Vulcans leader returning in net is Josh Bacon who was 3-4 with a 5.04 GAA and a .867 save percentage.
