California, PA- The Vulcans came back with vengeance over the weekend.  Having missed out on last season the Vulcans wasted no time having their presence felt again recording 22 goals in two contests.  With 10-0 and 12-1 victories over RIT the Vulcans finished the opening weekend of the 2017-18 campaign at 2-0.

It was an all-around effort for the Vulcans as every player managed to find their way onto the stat sheet between the two days.  Although it was freshman Jayda Mears that stole the show recording 16 points in the two games with seven goals and nine assists.  Maureen Gavin also managed double digit points with six goals and five assists over the course of both days.  Not to be lost in the offensive outpouring was the play of goaltender Tamara Bobogie who stopped 33 of 34 shots faced earning both a first career shutout and victory.

This upcoming weekend will provide the Vulcans some rest as they prepare for their next contest on Friday October 20th against the University of Pittsburgh.
