Men Travel East For Pair of Non-Conference Matchups

THE GAME:  Friday: #16 California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans (10-8-1, 6-3-1) at #12 University of Delaware Blue Hens (9-8-3)

Saturday: #16 California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans (10-8-1, 6-3-1) at # 19 Salisbury University Gulls (9-10-1)

DATE/LOCATION/TIME:  February 8, 2019 ~ Gold Ice Arena ~ 8:15 p.m. ~ February 9, 2019 ~ Centre Ice Rink ~ 3:00 p.m.

STATEMENT WEEKEND:  The Vulcans enter this weekend needing to make a statement as their amount of opportunities continues to diminish.  With Regionals just over a month away the Vulcans will look to put a few ranked victories in their pocket to help move themselves closer to a top 10 spot to earn a trip to West Chester in the middle of March.

REMATCH:  The Vulcans and Gulls will meet for the second time this season when they face off on Saturday and the Vulcans will go for the season sweep.  In the first meeting Chris Siak recorded a hat trick for the Vulcans while Benjamin Coughlin of the Gulls picked up two goals.  It was a very active third period that saw a total of six of the 10 goals scored after a 2-2 tie heading into the third period.

VULCANS LEADING SCORERS:  The Vulcans are led offensively by David DalCortivo with five goals and 17 assist for 22 points, Alex Worgo with 13 goals and eight assists for 21 points and Chris Siak with 15 goals and five assists for 20 points.  In net the Vulcans are led by Ryan Lloyd who is 4-4-1 with a 4.17 GAA and a .878 save percentage.

BLUE HENS LEADING SCORERES:  The Blue Hens are led offensively by Shane Saladis with 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points, Steven Palomba with 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points and Christopher Mayville with nine goas and eight assists for 17 points.  In net the Blue Hens are led by Gabriel Nadell who is 7-6 with a 3.76 GAA and a .883 save percentage.

GULLS LEADING SCORERES:  The Gulls are led offensively by Jack Petersohn with 17 goals and seven assists for 24 points, Andrew Bruening with four goals and 11 assists for 15 points and Ryan Schwartz with five goals and six assists for 11 points.  In net the Gulls are led by Daniel Hallman who is 6-7 with a 2.86 GAA and a .918 save percentage.
