REGULAR SEASON FINALE: Friday’s contest marks the final game of the regular season for the Vulcans as they look pick up their 14thvictory of the season and keep away from falling into the double digit loss column. The Vulcans will end the 2018-19 campaign with their most losses since the 2003-04 season when the team finished 13-15-3.
CONGRATULATIONS: Last week’s contest against Robert Morris saw a few milestones for the Vulcans. The 10-3 victory over the Colonials did not seem large as it relates to this season but that victory served as Head Coach Jason Greenway’s 50thcareer victory with the Vulcans. Helping Coach Greenway earn that victory was goaltender John Popielarcheck who earned his first career victory stopping 36 of 39 shots faced. Additionally forward Jared Taylor recorded his first career goal late in the third period of the contest.
THANK YOU SENIORS: The Vulcans would like to thank all five seniors for their accomplishments both athletically and academically while at Cal U. Each of them have had a lasting impact on this organization and will leave the club with signature moments for the university and fans to remember for years to come. Everyone at Cal hockey wishes you all nothing but the best in your future endeavors and hope to see you back in the future.
